I had haemorrhoid surgery 2 months ago and I always had issue with constipation and clearing out bowels. My question is, is it okay to eat chicken 2-3 times a week now or does that increase chance of recurrence? What do you guys think?

Per my doc’s advice and my experience as well- 1. Complete your daily quota of fiber I.e. 30-35 gms per day for a male adult. 2. Drink 3 bottles of water 3. Minimum 30 mins exercise - could be as simple as 30 mins brisk walking 4. DO NOT STRAIN during BMS If you follow above 4 points; then you can eat chicken or other foods of your choice. Only thing is “Excess of anything is bad”. So have a balanced diet. Preferably less spicy or oily.

You got to yourself experiment and arrive at the food variety that aligns to your body tendency. It should be sustainable. Refraining yourself from eating foods of your choice is also not sustainable. So definitely have those but then you should know at what frequency and in what amount that doesn’t disturb your body.
