So far it seems it’s has worked. I had it done with 2 other minor external hems excised. I’m on day 16 PO and have almost no pain and has been manageable leading to this point. Still waiting for drainage and mucus to subside which can take a while.

It seems to be a long term solution. My doctor hasn’t mentioned if it would come back. I’ll ask. But I think any hemorrhoid can return if you’re prone to it, have constipation, have poor dietary habits, strain and push too hard, etc.
