shared a chat session in group #Rhoid Rage (& recovery)

I have a question for the group. I have been struggling with roids for about 16 years, started right before my son was born. They go and come and I am just so tired of dealing with this crap 🤣 so, I had one of my 3 grade 2 banded on Friday. I was told it would be painless but I have been experiencing so much pain and burning. No bleeding, but I called my Dr and they said if I was still hurting by Friday to call back. I'm so frustrated because I was told this would be painless and also because I am having so much burning and discomfort, I have no idea how I will make it to Friday, and if I do, if they can even see me. Has anyone else had this happen after banding? I need some encouragement to get me through ☺️

I want to give my body some time to calm down before I do anything else. Possibly wait like a month or so.

I am new here so I'm not exactly sure how to access past messages but does anyone have any good recommendations for managing pain. I know about prep h, and tucks and lidocaine and hydrocortisone 2.5%, but anything outside of that.

I can't do sitz baths due to getting reoccurring UTIs but I have been using ice.
